Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt

The Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt, NY are a community of vowed women religious committed to bringing hope and mercy to people in need through various programs and advocacy. Dominican Sisters endeavor to proclaim the good news of the compassionate love of God for each person with a special concern for those who are poor and on the margins of society.

Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt are involved in education at all levels including college, secondary, elementary school, universal pre-K, and special education. Our other ministries include healthcare, social service programs for the developmentally disabled, children in foster care (including adoption services), migrant children, shelters for homeless women and children, housing for persons with HIV/AIDS, programs for the mentally ill and chemically addicted, and programs that provide advocacy, ESL, literacy and job training. The Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt are also active in social justice activities, retreat work, pastoral care in parishes, hospice and prisons.
