Rockland Community Foundation
The Rockland Community Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for all people in Rockland County by increasing charitable giving and connecting donors to community needs which they care about most.
We are structured as an umbrella nonprofit organization so that we can serve many types of donors and enable other nonprofits, should they choose, to take advantage of the endowment management services of the Foundation to possibly gain a better return for their organizations. Placing a fund under our umbrella allows nonprofits and donors to concentrate their efforts on raising funds for their cause while utilizing the Foundation’s tax-exempt status, thereby eliminating the need to spend the time and money to establish their own 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization.
Our goal is to build a permanent endowment focusing on developing and increasing Rockland’s overall capacity to raise private, corporate, public and foundation funds, keeping more money in Rockland County to help ensure that needs of today and tomorrow in Rockland are met.
