Rockland Community College
Rockland Community College, State University of New York, (SUNY RCC) is located 25 miles northwest of NYC and is the only public higher education institution in Rockland County. It has served as an educational resource for Rockland since 1959, offering small classes, personal attention and caring faculty. As a minority serving institution, SUNY RCC is proud of its diverse student population that includes more than 150 students who are military veterans. SUNY RCC serves as an active educational center that offers numerous educational opportunities both for its 9,000 credit and non-credit students and for the broader community of Rockland County. A distinguished faculty comprised of about 125 full-time and 400 part-time members includes numerous Fulbright Scholars, SUNY Chancellor’s Award winners, SUNY Distinguished Faculty, published authors and artists. The college offers 51 programs in the humanities, social sciences, arts, technologies, business, business, health professions, mathematics, and sciences, including 40 associate’s degrees and 11 one-year certificate programs. The college also sponsors the Sam Draper Mentored/Talented Student (MTS) Honors Program that enrolls 200 students annually and also provides College in the High School where high school students throughout the County can earn college credit.
