Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland, Inc.
A multi-purpose agency using a volunteer network to provide hundreds of meals to the homebound each day. In addition M.O.W. operates the Rockland Senior Centers Program – six multi-purpose Senior Centers located throughout the County where participants receive a hot noon lunch and take part in recreational and educational activities. Transportation is provided. The Agency also supports two social model adult day care programs known as S.T.A.R. for frail and cognitively impaired clients. M.O.W. sponsors a computer lab called SeniorNet@Rockland to teach older adults how to access the computer. Meals on Wheels contracts with other non-profit agencies to support their nutrition needs through the Agency’s large volume commissary.
